white wines

1. Colombard Chardonnay, Kingston Wildlife (Australia)

Colombard delivers freshness and crisp aroma, while the Chardonnay brings voluptuous, juicy fruit.

2. Pinot Grigio, San Antonio (Italy)

Wonderfully rich, exotic Italian speciality. Bone-dry, with a lick of honey and a touch of spice.

3. Chardonnay, Macon Villages (France)

This highly rated co-operative specialises in unoaked Chardonnay, and squeeze every last drop of flavour into their wines.

4. Semillon Sauvignon, Grant Burge (Australia)

A perfect partner to almost any dish, this offers full-bodied freshness in abundance! Plenty of weight, but very refreshing

5. Vouvray Demi Sec "Les Coteaux Des Tuffiers" (France)

Spendidly rich, with a full-bodied character. Ripe, rather than sweet, with voluptuous fruit.

6. Sauvignon Blanc, Totara Hill (New Zealand)

Gooseberries and green grass! Beautifully crisp, and bouncing with fresh, fruity flavours.

7. Chenin Blanc, Lammershoek (South Africa)

Complex, with layers of citrus, soft fruits and quince, all balanced by elegant oak.

8. Chablis, Pascal Bouchard (France)

Very dry, with a lovely, minerally texture. Massively complex, and very concentrated.

9. Pouilly Fume Domaine Des Mariniers (France)

The very best in Loire Sauvignon - grassy-green fruit, with just a whiff of gunsmoke... Delicious with anything fishy...

red wines

10. Shiraz, Rocheburg (South Africa)

Deep and dark and sultry, with very ripe fruit. Delicious rich flavours which linger forever!

11. Malbec, Montes Classic Series (Chile)

Spicy brambly fruit - all you'd expect from a blend of such powerful grapes. Lovely with most red meat dishes.

12. Merlot, Carmen (Chile)

Uniquely bright black cherry colour. As smooth as satin as soft as silk, this utterly quaffable wine is the best Chilean Merlot you will ever taste!

13. Cabernet Sauvignon, Norfolk Rise (Australia)

Beautifully elegant wine from un-irrigated, ancient vines. The fruit and oak restrained, and nicely integrated.

14. Rioja Reserva, Vega del Rayo (Spain)

Deliciously decadentt and smoky oakrapes from the best vineyards have been barrel-aged to juicy, generous perfection.

15. Fleurie, Les Garants (France)

The flower of Beaujolais, as soft as silk, and smooth as satin! But still rather profound - plenty of length and structure.

16. Barolo, "Rivello", Araldica (Italy)

Big, brooding and beefy! Like many great wines it takes time to open up, but it' s worth the wait!

17. St Emilion, Grand Cru (France)

Real weight and power, here. Dark, intense colour, hinting at the concentrated fruit and silky style.

18. Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Les Galets (France)

Everybody' s favourite Rhone wine! Great big, muscular, masculine style, but with a deliciously soft, feminine touch.
